George Sutherland moved to the US from Eastern Canada in 1981 with his wife Sharon and sons Scott and Chris. He has a general management background with expertise in manufacturing, transportation and distribution industries. Since the late 80’s George has been involved in development and home building.
After visiting Destin 4 winters in a row he decided it was time to move and enjoy the beaches year-round. “I really take pleasure in working with people and the real estate industry has provided me with an opportunity to do what I enjoy most.” Once aware of this industry he immediately knew that auctions were the future of real estate and was eager to be a part of such an exciting time of growth and expansion. Since that time George has helped many buyers and sellers in the auction process including being part of a national auction team that sold 257 condos, drew over 700 bidders and recently earned Grand Prize Auction of the Year for 2010 at the National Auctioneers Convention.
In his spare time George donates his time to charitable organizations such as Habitat for Humanity and is a founder of The Fuller Center for Housing of South Walton, a non-profit organization that builds affordable housing for those in need. He also enjoys golfing, biking and fishing.
